What We Stand For

our mission

Edmundite Missions has been serving the men, women and children living in poverty-stricken communities throughout the Deep South since 1937.

Through our ministry we meet immediate needs by providing food, clothing, and shelter for thousands of people. We also exemplify service to solutions by offering mentorship, apprenticeships, and educational programs for youth and adults, providing a pathway towards self-reliance.

Guided today by our mission statement and the faithfulness of our donors, we continue our work of addressing the extreme poverty prevalent within the Deep South while imparting a sense of dignity to each and every person we serve.

Community Development Programs

Edmundite Missions is committed to the health and wellbeing of the community in which we live and which we serve. Community Development means both health and wellbeing and the economic sustainability of our homes and families. Edmundite Missions advances community wellbeing both with programs and with outreach.

Educating the Neglected

Food, shelter, and healthcare are all necessary for alleviating poverty but research shows that the most sustainable way to help a community improve its standard of life in the long run is to provide education for its residents.

Feeding the

Hungry

Food is the most basic human need yet there are thousands of people suffering from hunger. We believe that no child, no senior citizen, no person should ever go hungry.

Our Motto

"Do the best we can, with what little we have, to serve those most in need.”

- Our Founder, Father Frank Casey, S.S.E.

Our Response

`For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Matthew 25:35-36
