Father Ouellet Society

aBOUT tHE fATHER oUELLET sOCIETY

Father Maurice Ouellet arrived in Selma in the early days of the Civil Rights struggle and quickly became a champion of that movement. Again and again, he put his life on the line, never wavering in his commitment to those Jesus called, “the least of these my brothers and sisters.”

Now, you have the opportunity to carry on Fr. Ouellet’s legacy of courage and caring by making a bequest to Edmundite Missions in your will. When you let us know your intentions, you will automatically be enrolled in The Father Maurice Ouellet Legacy Society.

Membership in the society comes with special privileges:

  • Being remembered in a very special mass on September 10th in memory of Fr. Ouellet and in honor of the legacy members.

  • Enrollment as one of Edmundite Missions’ Partners in Mission which includes special Partner updates and invitations to private events.

  • A personalized enrollment certificate that expresses the gratitude of Edmundite Missions’ clients who, thanks to the generosity of Ouellet Society members like you, now have opportunities for education and careers they would never have had otherwise.

Most importantly, you will extend Fr. Ouellet’s work on behalf of the poor in the Deep South. You will provide daily meals to the hungry, ensure that schoolchildren receive education help through the New Possibilities Youth Program, help single moms bring their families into the middle class through initiatives like the Forward with the Missions nursing program, and so much more.
