18 months ago, this burned out shell was the loving home of Elaine Hailey and her three children. Then an explosion, caused by the deadly 2023 tornado that devastated much of Selma, set the whole house ablaze.

Since then, the family has been without a home, sleeping on floors and sofas at the homes of friends and relatives – until last week! Elaine finally found a job and a small home for rent. It’s a blessed beginning.

But right now they need deposits for the utilities, as well as furniture, housewares, linens, and everything else that was lost in the fire.
