Every Kid Gets to Swim

Two years ago, Edmundite Missions partnered with the city of Selma to upgrade and reopen Dinkins Pool.

At this year’s Summer Festival, we took the next step in making sure every child has access to the pool, by presenting a check for $5,000 to ensure no child is turned away for lack of entrance fee funds.

“When we committed to renovating and re-opening the Dinkins Pool, it was a steadfast, lasting commitment,” said Chad McEachern.

“We will not abandon a single child or family that simply seeks to escape the summer heat and enjoy fellowship with one another.”

Then Chad told the crowd, “This is really a gift from the wonderful people across the United States who support the Missions as partners in our ministry. While most of them live hundreds of miles away and couldn’t be here today, let’s give them a round of applause loud enough for them to hear.”

In response, the whole audience stood, clapped, and cheered at the top of their lungs. Please know that they were cheering for you!
